Former Canteen Facility April 14,2005 guadefly Groundwater Monitoring Report Page 2 I • Purged Site monitor wells MW-3, MW-3A, MW-31), MW-11, MW-13, MW-13A and MW-13B by removing a mizalmum of three well volumes using a Waterra® inertia pump or ' disposable bailer • Sampled and analyzed groundwater for the following parameters • total petroleum hydrocarbons, gasoline range TPHg)(method 8015 modified), ' • benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) and gasoline oxygenates including t-Butanol (TBA), Methyl-t-Butyl Ether (MTBE), Di-isopropyl Ether (DIPE), Ethyl-t-Butyl Ether (ETBE), t-Amyl Methyl Ether (TAME), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2- DCA), and ethylene dibronude (EDB) (method 826013) • Preparation of this 2005 First Quarterly Monitoring Report summarizing the findings of ' the quarterly activities This report presents field observations, results, conclusions and recommendations for additional ' work, if necessary In addition, a review of the on-site systems operation and maintenance is presented Delta has prepared this report in accordance with generally accepted environmental practice lie SITE INVESTIGATION & RESULTS ' MONITOR WELL SAMPLING Upon arrival at the Site, the well caps were opened to allow the wells to achieve static ' conditions Each well was then gauged to measure groundwater elevations (Table 1) and selected wells were purged with a Waterra® pump or disposable bailer until three casing volumes of groundwater had been recovered Field measurements for conductivity, pH and ' temperature were taken during purging to ensure the collection of representative formation groundwater Groundwater samples were collected from seven monitor wells (MW-3, MW-3A, ' MW-3D, MW-I 1,MW-13, MW-13A and MW-1313)on March 11, 2005 During purging of the monitor wells, neither non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) nor hydrocarbon ' sheen was noted on the purged groundwater A hydrocarbon odor was noted in monitor wells MW-3 and MW-13 ' After purging, samples were collected using pre-cleaned disposable bailers and then transferred to laboratory provided containers for analysis of TPH(g), BTEX, TBA, MTBE, DIPS, ETBE, TAME, 1,2-DCA and EDB The samples were transported under chain-of-custody using an ' overnight delivery service to Columbia Analytical Services, Inc , of Phoenix, Arizona, a California accredited analytical laboratory 1
