i <br /> Former Canteen Facility October 15,2004 <br /> iQ—uar-terly Groundwater Monitoring Report Page 6 <br /> ISYSTEM OPERATING EFFICIENCY <br /> During this quarter, the system was shutdown for repairs and maintenance on the following <br /> dates <br /> I Date Off Date On Time Off Actions Taken <br /> 09/07/04 09/17/04 10 days Replace Catalytic <br /> Converter and Exhaust <br /> Aside from down-times due to the various maintenance and compliance issues, the SVE system <br /> has been in operation for approximately 160 days (---5'/4 months) of the 190 days since start-up on <br /> March 24, 2004 This equates to approximately 84 2% uptime Various lessons have been <br /> learned regarding the operation of the internal combustion engine (ICE) unit and we believe <br /> future operations should have an uptime in excess of 95% <br />' <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS <br />' Delta recommends the following for the Former Canteen Facility <br />' • • Continue groundwater monitoring and reporting, including measurement of depth to <br /> groundwater in each well, evaluating monitor well status, preparation of a <br /> potentiometric surface contour map containing the calculated gradient and <br />' approximate rate of groundwater movement, and, preparation of iso concentration <br /> contour maps for benzene and TPH(g) at the two different screened aquifer depths <br />' • The schedule for groundwater monitoring will remain as follows <br /> Quarterly Monitoring Annual Monttorin <br />' (15', 2"d, and 3rd Quarters) (41n Quarter) <br /> MW-3, MW-3A, MW-3D, MW-11 All Wells <br />' MW-13, MW-13A, MW-13B <br /> Each well will be gauged quarterly If an analyte is not detected by the laboratory for <br />' two consecutive quarters, then that analyte will only be monitored for during the <br /> annual event Delta understands that should a removed analyte be detected in a <br /> monitor well during annual monitoring, quarterly monitoring and analysis will resume <br />' for that well Groundwater monitoring will be performed during the second month of <br /> each quarter and quarterly monitoring reports will be submitted to the appropriate <br /> County and State agencies by the 15`x' of the first month following the end of each <br />' quarter <br /> Continue operation of the soil and groundwater remediation system and conduct <br />' • weekly operation and maintenance activities Influent and effluent air samples will be <br />
