Mr Michael Infurna <br /> April 30,2004 <br /> Page 5 <br /> �n CJ <br /> �NCES�� <br /> Following receipt of the analytical report, a Generator Waste Profile Sheet was submitted to <br /> Forward Landfill in Manteca, California for review and disposal approval The stockpiled soil <br /> was disposed of at Forward Landfill on March 23, 2004 Copies of the laboratory analytical <br /> report, Generator Waste Profile Sheet, and Non-Hazardous Waste Manifests are attached <br /> System Operation and Maintenance <br /> The ICE unit is equipped with several safety features and interlock systems These systems <br /> include <br /> ICE Unit High-Temperature Switch <br /> The operating temperature of the ICE unit engine must remain within safe operating <br /> conditions If the engine temperature exceeds a pre-set level, this interlock (designated as <br /> SAI No 5 on the PFD) will shut off the ICE Unit and the SVE System The SVE and <br /> vapor treatment systems system will remain off until manually reset Upon reset the <br /> cause for the overheating engine will be investigated <br /> Low-Oil Switch <br /> The lubricating oil for the ICE unit engine must be maintained at sufficient levels for safe <br /> operation of the unit If the engine oil gets below a pre-set level, this interlock <br /> S (designated as SAI No 6 on the PFD) will shut off the ICE Unit and the SVE System <br /> The SVE and vapor treatment systems will remain off until manually reset Upon reset, <br /> the remaining oil will be drained from the unit and new lubricating oil will be utilized to <br /> fill the reservoir Potential leaks will be thoroughly investigated <br /> Fire Suppression System <br /> The unit includes one automatic dry chemical suppression system with two rate- <br /> compensated thermostats and manual actuator A spark arrester is installed on the engine <br /> exhaust to protect the well gas source from any flash back from the engine <br /> Important Note: The SVE System may operate without the AS System, but the AS <br /> System may not operate without the SVE System <br /> The ICE unit is equipped with influent and effluent sample ports An onboard computer system <br /> records the system fuel consumption, total extraction vacuum, total air infection pressure, and <br /> total flow rates The computer can be accessed remotely via a telemetry system <br /> Weekly operation and maintenance (O&M) visits are conducted to record system operational <br /> parameters, perform air monitoring, and maintain system components Propane is delivered as <br /> needed to maintain continuous operation <br />
