i <br /> �tGU1�0 <br /> IILjCEs 1 <br /> January 20, 2003 <br /> IMr Michael J Infiirna, Jr , Senior REHS <br /> San Joaquin County PHS <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> IRE: 2002 Fourth Quarterly Monitoring Report <br /> Former Canteen Facility <br /> 1500 Shaw Road <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Site Code 1727 <br /> AES Project No.: 145-94009-04 <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> AES-Regulatory Services, Inc (AES-RS), through our parent company Applied Earth Sciences, <br /> Inc (AES), was retained by Compass Group USA, Inc (Compass), to conduct quarterly <br /> Igroundwater gauging and sampling on the property located at 1500 Shaw Road in Stockton, <br /> California (Site) (Figure 1) This quarterly sampling event was conducted in order to provide a <br /> Quarterly Monitoring Report of the impacted groundwater at the Site, in accordance with State of <br /> California regulations <br /> PROJECT OBJECTIVES <br /> The objectives for the 2002 Fourth Quarterly Monitoring Report were to assess the <br />' concentrations of hydrocarbons in Site groundwater due to the former presence of underground <br /> storage tanks (USTs) and assess the stability of the groundwater plume The following were <br /> conducted during this quarterly assessment <br /> • Gauged each Site monitor well (October 31 and December 30, 2002) to evaluate the <br /> presence or absence of free product and to measure groundwater elevations Groundwater <br />' monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-3A, MW-3D, MW-4, MW-13A and MW- <br /> 13B were gauged <br />' • Site monitor wells (MW-3, MW-3A, MW-3D, MW-11, MW-13A, and MW-13B) were <br /> purged on October 31,by removing a minimum of three well volumes using a submersible <br /> purge pump or disposable bailer Monitor well MW-13 was not sampled because it was <br />' 2013 Wells Branch Parkway, Suite 206 • Austin, Texas 78728 Tel (512) 990-7467 • Fax (512) 990-7399 <br />
