1 <br /> CTG APR 1 6 2001 <br /> 1 ENVIRONMENT HEALTH <br /> April 13, 2001 PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> 1 Mr Michael J Infurna, Jr , Senior REHS <br /> San Joaquin County PHS <br /> 1 Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> 1 RE: 2001 First Quarterly Monitoring Report <br /> Canteen Facility <br />' 1500 Shaw Road <br /> Stockton, California <br /> AES Job No.. 145-94009-04 <br /> 1 Dear Mr Infurna <br /> Applied Earth Sciences, Inc (AES) was retained by Compass Group USA, Inc (Compass), to <br /> conduct quarterly groundwater gauging and sampling on the property located at 1500 Shaw Road <br /> 1 in Stockton, California (Site) (Figure 1) This quarterly sampling event was conducted in order to <br /> provide a Quarterly Monitoring Report of the impacted groundwater at the Site, in accordance <br /> with State of California regulations <br /> 1 AES provided a Work Plan to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental <br /> Health Division that included sampling and analysis of the seventeen site monitor wells Upon <br />' approval of the scope, a pre-approval request was submitted to the State Water Resources <br /> Control Board Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) conducted quarterly field activities on <br /> March 6 and 7, 2001 <br /> 1 PROJECT OBJECTIVES <br /> 1 The objectives for the 2001 First Quarterly Monitoring Report were to assess the concentrations <br /> of hydrocarbons in Site groundwater due to the former presence of underground storage tanks <br /> (USTs) and assess the stability of the groundwater plume The following were conducted during <br /> 1 this quarterly assessment <br /> • Gauged each Site monitor well to evaluate the presence or absence of free product and to <br /> measure groundwater elevations Groundwater monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, <br /> MW-3A, MW-3D, MW-4 through MW-13, MW-13A and MW-13B were gauged <br /> • Purged each Site monitor well by removing a minimum of three well volumes using a <br /> purge pump <br /> 1 2013 Wells Branch Parkway, Suite 206 9 Austin, Texas 78728 a Tel (512) 990-7467 • Fax (512) 990-7399 <br />
