I will send you an SDS of the most commonly used
powder if you still need it.
I am not worried about the cardinal. Just the other 5 percent of coatings used. Is the other 5 percent all underneath the
same brand? Do they comprise of serval different brands? The main thing is that the a determination needs to be made
for each waste. If you have the SDSs for the other brands that would be great. The other 5% is same powder type but
different Manufacturer. The waste that was sent for testing included the 5%of another manufacturer. While we spray
powder, what doesn't stick to the part gets sucked into the filter and is collected in the plastic drums. Once those drums
are filled they are removed from the booth. When the drum was removed I took a sample for testing. So in the cardinal
powder along with the other manufacturer waste were in the sample taken to the lab. I requested the statement and
lab results from Cardinal as they are the manufacturer that uses the high amount of Barium. The results had no other
triggers.Attached a sample of one of the powders in the waste stream.
Paint Filters and Rags both contain liquid paint and Acetone. Same waste stream on both. The rags are used while
cleaning the guns and the filter catches what is sprayed. These materials are the ones that came in high in Zinc and
Cadmium. Since these levels have passed the TTLC threshold will the results from the STLC/TCLP even matter?
1
