SQ -Y OF RESULTS TO DATE=
The results of an analysis of all of the work done on this site
since removal of the UST' s is briefly summarized below_
1 . The lateral extent of the plume has not yet been defined.
2. Although the UST's and a considerable quantity of contaminated
soil has been removed, significant amounts of BTEX & TPHG still
exist in the soil and groundwater.
3 . Natural bioremediation may be occurring, but evidence to date
is inconclusive. However, it is expected that a gradual decrease
.in the levels of hydrocarbons present should occur, assuming
there is no other source contributing to the contamination.
CONCI.rUSIONS
It is apparent that additional investigative work is needed in
order to define the limits of contamination, a workplan to con-
duct that work is being prepared at this time as instructed by
the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division.
Quarterly monitoring of the existing wells should continue during
the next investigative stage, and would include any new monitor-
ing wells that may be required. We will continue to provide
reports covering the monitoring activities.
SincPteen
W
Wm. r & ssociates
cc: orp_ DGrE D
NO.MOf
„
i
2
