l <br /> Hazardous Waste_t.o.rp,&a=Antro1 <br /> i <br /> Primary Hazardous Wast; Area <br /> The hazardous waste are' is a locked and caged space designed to satisfy regulatory requirements for <br /> the storage of'H azrardousj nd Universal waste streams.All containers must be approved for storage and <br /> transport, identified in ac ordance with hazardous/universal waste storage and labeling requirements. <br /> Control of this storage sp`ce is under the direct control and supervisor of the EHS Manager to ensure <br /> proper storage, labeling and containerizing requirements are met, <br /> 3 <br /> Effective 4/1/2020 all ha I <br /> rdous and universal wastes generated will be directly communicated to the <br /> EHS Manager upon gene l tion.The EHS manager will provide guidance to each supervisory employee <br /> handling waste materialsF o ensure that proper containers are used, proper labeling is placed on the <br /> container(s) and that the;containers are properly stored in the secured area. <br /> Upon generating properl° labeled and containerized waste,only the EHS Manager will place the <br /> containers in the hazard `us waste storage area. <br /> t <br /> Instructions are pasted of tside the Hazardous Waste Area with emergency procedures and contact <br /> information.'' <br /> Keys to the caged Hazardous Waste Area are or will be issued to the General Manager and Shredder <br /> Operations Manager onl'.There should be no entry or access by any employee or persons other than <br /> the three key holder's di`ectly supervising access to the caged area. <br /> Mechanic Shop <br /> The mechanic shop (sma,i warehouse on South side) houses a 300 gallon used oil receptacle, one each <br /> 55 gallon drum for;drai `ed used oil filters(sealed metal),drained used oil filters(paper/non-sealed), <br /> Used Anti-freeze/eoolan ,Spent(empty)aerosol cans, used oily absorbent.This area is considered a <br /> secondary hazardous wa ite storage area and not a satellite accumulation area.All containers are <br /> properly labeled and act mulation start dates are established by the EHS manager. if any container <br /> becomes full or near full' the mechanics shall contact the EHS manager immediately for removal and <br /> replacement of new cant alner(s), if the used oil receptacle is getting near to full-used 250 gallons as a <br /> reference,then contact`he EHS Manager for disposal,as scheduling can take a couple days'time. <br /> E <br /> l <br /> 1 <br /> 4 <br /> 3 <br />
