STK TraininO Roster Hazardous Waste Storage Ar Control Primary Hazardous Waste Area The hazardous waste area is locked and caged space designed to satisfy regulatory requirements for the storage of Hazardous and Universal waste streams. All containers must be approved for storage and transport, identified in acct rdanee with hazardous/universal waste storage and labeling requirements. Control of this s orage space is under the direct control and supervisor of the EHS Manager to ensure proper storage, labeling and containerizing requirements are met. Effective 4/1/2020 all hazardo's and universal wastes generated will be directly communicated to the EHS Manager upon generatio i. The EHS manager will provide guidance to each supervisory employee handling waste materials to e'sure that proper containers are used, proper labeling is placed on the container(s) and that the cant iners are properly stored in the secured area. Upon generating properly labled and containerized waste, only the EHS Manager will place the containers in the hazardous waste storage area. Instructions are pasted outside the Hazardous Waste Area with emergency procedures and contact information. Keys to the caged Hazardous;Waste Area are or will be issued to the General Manager and Shredder Operations Manager only.Th`re should be no entry or access by any employee or persons other than the three key holder's directly I upervising access to the caged area. Mechanic Shop i The mechanic shop (small WE`rehouse on South side) houses a 300 gallon used oil receptacle, one each bb gallon drum for; drair ed used oil filters (sealed metal), drained used tail filters(paperinon- sealed), Used Anti-freeze/co ant, Spent(empty)aerosol cans, used oily absorbent. This area is considered a secondary haze does waste storage area and not a satellite accumulation area.All containers are properly labele and accumulation start dates are established by the EHS manager. If any container becomes full oii.near full, the mechanics shall contact the EHS manager immediately for removal and replacement of ii,ew container(s). If the used oil receptacle is getting near to full-used 250 gallons as a reference, then ontact the EHS Manager for disposal, as scheduling can take a couple days' time.
