SIA..v� s-,r'15 1 i0 v/ <br /> STK Training Oster <br /> Hazardous Waste Storage Area Control <br /> Primary Hazardous Waste Area <br /> The hazardous waste area is a locked and caged space designed to satisfy regulatory requirements for <br /> the storage of Hazardous and Universal waste streams.All containers must be approved for storage <br /> and transport, identified in accordance with hazard ousluniversal waste storage and labeling <br /> requirements. Control of this storage space is under the direct control and supervisor of the EHS <br /> Manager to ensure proper storage, labeling and containerizing requirements are met. <br /> Effective 4/1/2020 all hazardous and universal wastes generated will be directly communicated to the <br /> EHS Manager upon generation, The EHS manager will provide guidance to each supervisory employee <br /> handling waste materials to ensure that proper containers are used, proper labeling is placed on the <br /> container(s)and that the containers are properly stored in the secured area. <br /> Upon generating properly labeled and containerized waste, only the EHS Manager will place the <br /> containers in the hazardous waste storage area. <br /> Instructions are posted outside the Hazardous Waste Area with emergency procedures and contact <br /> information:. <br /> Keys to the caged Hazardous Waste Area are or will be issued to the General Manager and Shredder <br /> Operations Manager only. There should be no entry or access by any employee or persons other than <br /> the three key holder's directly supervising access to the caged area. <br /> Mechanic Shop <br /> The mechanic shop(small warehouse on South side) houses a 300 gallon used oil receptacle, one <br /> each 55 gallon drum for; drained used oil filters(sealed metal), drained used oil filters(paper/non- <br /> sealed), Used Anti-freeze/coolant, Spent(empty)aerosol cans, used oily absorbent.This area is <br /> considered a secondary hazardous waste storage area and not a satellite accumulation area.All <br /> containers are properly labeled and accumulation start dates are established by the EHS manager. If <br /> any container becomes full or near full,the mechanics shall contact the EHS manager immediately for <br /> removal an,:1 replacement of new container(s).
