5.0 CONTINGENCY PLANS <br /> Table 5-1 presents contingency plans for potential emergency situations <br /> TABLE 5-1 <br /> CONTINGENCY PLANS FOR SITE EMERGENCIES <br /> Situation Action <br /> 51- Evacuation 1 Immediately notify all AES personnel and clients personnel on site <br /> of the situation requiring evacuation <br /> 2 Leave the area, report to a designated point, account for all <br /> personnel <br /> 3 Notify Emergency Services, as appropriate <br /> 4 Maintam site security and control measures for community safety <br /> until emergency responders arrive <br /> 5 Notify the AES PM and the RHSO as soon as possible <br /> 6 Notify clients representative and consult regarding subsequent <br /> remediation and administrative actions Document each interaction <br /> with the client and note, in writing date, time, authorizations, <br /> refusals, decisions, and commitments to actions <br /> 52 Fire 1 Immediately notify all AES personnel and clients personnel on site <br /> Emergency of a situation that may require evacuation <br /> 2 Notify the Emergency Services <br /> 3 Employee's Option Attempt to extinguish or control small fires <br /> with an all-purpose (ABC) extinguisher <br /> 4 Notify AES PM and the RHSO as soon as possible <br /> 5 Notify clients representative and consult regarding subsequent <br /> remediation and administrative actions Document each interaction <br /> with the client and note, in writing date, time, authorizations, <br /> refusals, decisions, and commitments to actions <br /> 53 Spill/Release 1 Wear appropriate PPE, stay upwind of the spill/release <br /> 2 Turn off equipment and restrict other sources of ignition <br /> AES Emergency 3 Turn off pumps and shut valves to stop the flow/leak <br /> Response SOPs can 4 Plug the leak or collect drippings in a bucket or with sorbent, if <br /> be referred to for possible with little or no risk <br /> additional guidance 5 Call Fire Department immediately if fire emergency develops <br /> 6 Notify the AES PM and the RHSO as soon as possible <br /> 7 Notify clients representative and consult regarding subsequent <br /> remediation and administrative actions Document each interaction <br /> with the client and note, in writing date, time, authorizations, <br /> refusals, decisions, and commitments to actions <br /> Notifications <br /> The Project Manager must contact the Client or generator immediately The Client or generator is under <br /> obligation to report to the proper federal, state and local government agencies AES will make these <br /> notifications only at the direction of the Client's representative <br /> 19 <br />
