WASHINGTON, SUITE I, P.O: BOX 2009, STOCKTON, CA 95201 <br /> 209-468-3470 <br />' PRELIMINARY INSTRUCTIONS FOR <br /> APPLICATION FOR AUTHORITY TO CONSTRUCT AND PERMIT TO OPERATE (APF-20) <br /> 6 <br /> A. A filing fee is required for each application for AUTHORITY TO CONSTRUCT <br />' (applicable to new equipment installations) or PERMIT TO OPERATE (applicable <br /> to existing operations) . The applicant will be billed by the District <br /> for the appropriate filing fee. <br /> B. A separate application is required for each district operation which <br /> consists in whole, or in part, of equipment, the use of which may cause <br /> the issuance of any air contaminant, for which emission limits have been <br /> established by the San Joaquin County Air Pollution Control District. <br /> Such an operation may consist of one individual piece of equipment, or <br /> a group of two or more items including air pollution control equipment. <br /> C. With each application for AUTHORITY TO CONSTRUCT and PERMIT TO OPERATE, <br /> the following data, specifications, plans and drawings must be submitted. <br /> 1 . Equipment Location Drawing. The drawing or sketch submitted must <br /> to scale suggested scale- I inch equals 100 feet, accuracy of <br /> measurements to the nearest 5 feet will be satisfactory) and must <br /> show at least the following: <br /> a. The property involved and outlines and heights of all buildings <br /> an it. Identify property lines plainly. <br /> b. Location and identification of the proposed equipment on the <br /> property_ <br /> c. Location of the property with respect to streets and all adjacent <br /> properties. Identify adjacent properties. Show location of <br /> all buildings outside the property that are within 150 feet <br /> of the equipment involved in the application. Identify all <br /> such buildings (as residence, apartment house, machine shop, <br />' warehouse, etc. ) specifying height of each building (number <br /> of stories). Indicate direction (north) on the drawing. <br /> 2. Description of Equipment. State make, model , size, and type for <br /> entire unit or or its mayor parts. <br /> 3. Description of Operation. The application must be accompanied by <br />' a written description of each operation to be carried out in the <br /> equipment. The descriptions must be complete and in detail concerning <br /> all operations. Particular attention must be given to explaining <br /> all stages of the operation where the discharge of any materials <br /> might contribute in `any way to air pollution. All obtainable data <br /> must be supplied concerning the nature; volumes, particle sizes, <br /> weights, and concentrations of all types of air contaminants that <br /> APF-20 <br />
