Tre.aTeKInc.
September 18, 1991
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Attention: Elanor Ratliff ` r
Environmental Health Division
445 N. San Joaquin Street NVIRON11A NTAL HEALTH
P.O. Box 2009 PERIVIR/ARVICE5
Stockton, California 95201
Dear Ms. Ratliff,
Pursuant to our telephone conversation of September 18, 1991, please find enclosed 1) an
application in triplicate for the installation of two new extraction wells at the 16777 Howland Road,
Lathrop, California site 2) a copy of the well installation specifications and 3) a signature
authorization letter from the water development corporation. Also enclosed is a copy of my
September 5, 1991 correspondence to your agency.
Per our conversation, I have been in contact with Mr. Robert Yeadon of the California Regional
Water Quality Control Board. He will be contacting either yourself or Ms. Cotulla in regards to their
approval of our well installation work plan.
As is stated in my original correspondence to your agency regarding this proposed well installation
activity, our current schedule is to begin installation of the wells on September 23, 1991. While I
realize that this is an expedited schedule, I would greatly appreciate any effort which can be made
to approve our application by this date.
If a permit cannot be issued by this date, I would like to request that permission be granted to
install the lithological boreholes. This is the initial activity specified in our installation work plan and
it will provide the necessary well screen placement data critical to our well installation program. The
drilling of the coreholes should require three to four days and will allow additional time for the
application approval.
TreaTek will be more than happy to compensate your agency for any time spent in expeditiously
approving this application.
Please feel free to call me should you have any questions regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
TreaTek Inc.
Erik A.
