Leachate Monitoring
All Class 11 surface impoundments leachate collection and removal system(LCRS) sumps
shall be inspected daily for leachate generation during the period 1 December through 30
April, and weekly thereafter. Upon detection of leachate in a previously dry LCRS, the
Discharger shall immediately sample the leachate and shall continue to sample the leachate
as specified in Table 3 below and the results shall be reported to the Regional Board
quarterly. The quantity of leachate pumped from each sump shall be measured continuously
and reported as Leachate Flow Rate.
