Based on this
information, destruction and re-installation of well EW-12B is warranted.
A replacement well for EW-12B will be installed approximately 30 feet west of the current EW-12B. The replacement
well for EW-12B will be labeled as EW-12B and installed using mud rotary drilling methodology using the same field
methodology and construction details in the Addendum to the Well Installation and Hydraulic Testing Report and
Additional Well Installation Work Plan, dated September 13,2012.
To destroy well EW-12B and following approval from you and the San Joaquin County EHD,ARCADIS will procure a
California C57 licensed drilling subcontractor. The wire-wrapped screen interval (170-200 feet bgs)will be pressure
grouted using neat cement(Portland cement with 5 %weight bentonite powder). Once the screen is grouted, the well
casing will be over-drilled from 170 feet bgs to the ground surface using a 12-inch diameter hollow stem auger drill rig
and the borehole will be grouted using neat cement.
Your approval of this plan is needed prior to San Joaquin County EHD permit approval. Please feel free to contact me if
you have any questions.
Regards,
1
