Simplot Company, Geomatrix Consultants, Inc., has prepared this Detection <br /> Monitoring Program (DMP) Work Plan for Simplot's Lathrop plant in San Joaquin County, <br /> California. The work plan describes procedures for installing and sampling four new <br /> monitoring wells. These wells will be screened in the uppermost aquifer to provide the <br /> earliest possible detection of a release from the surface impoundments.to groundwater. The <br /> work plan was prepared to meet requirements outlined in Waste Discharge Requirements <br /> Order No. 97-229 adopted by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board—Central <br /> Valley Region (RWQCB) on October 24, 1997; Title 27 of the California Code of Regulations <br /> (Title 27); and the RWQCB letter dated December 22, 2000, requesting the submission of a <br /> work plan by March 1, 2001 for the installation of additional monitoring wells and a back- <br /> ground well. <br /> Geomatrix Consultants, Inc. is pleased to be of service to J.
