Quality Assurance <br /> Equipment will be cleaned prior to use onsite, between each drilling location, and prior <br /> to leaving the site. Drilling equipment and associated tools, including augers, drill <br /> rods, sampling equipment, wrenches, and other equipment or tools that may have <br /> come in contact with soils and/or waste materials will be cleaned with high-pressure <br /> steam-cleaning equipment using a potable water source. The drilling equipment will <br /> be cleaned in an area designated by the supervising engineer or geologist that is <br /> located outside of the work zone. More elaborate cleaning procedures may be <br /> required for reusable soil samplers(split-spoons)when soil samples are obtained for <br /> laboratory analysis of chemical constituents. <br /> X.
