Approve the Negative Declaration and direct the Clerk to
file a Notice of Determination; and
2. Approve Zone Reclassificaton No. ZR-88-26 to reclassify
property from C-RC (Commercial - Rural Center ) to GA-40
(General Agriculture, 40-acre minimum) .
REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION:
The Planning Division initiated this Zone Reclassification to
bring a one acre parcel ' s zoning into consistency with its
General Plan designation, Agriculture. Staff felt that, although
the C-RC zone is consistent with Agriculture under certain cir-
cumstances , the circumstances of this project location did not
warrant C-RC zoning. The proposed zone, GA-40 , is the primary
implementation zone for the Agriculture designation and would
match the surrounding zoning pattern.
The Planning Commission reviewed this item on July 21, 1988. No
one appeared to speak either in favor of or in opposition to this
project. At the conclusion of the public hearing the Planning
Commission voted 4-0 to make the recommendation noted in this
letter.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
r
BOS LETTER PAGE 1
