Item No .
PC : 7-2-87
VR-86-5/UP-86-6
Page 11
The application does not state whether lights or reflective
materials are to be installed as part of the dome . Therefore ,
the concern with potential unaesthetic appearance remains unre-
solved.
Lighting:
A lighting plan was not submitted with the application.
Because of the potential for conflicts with area residences and
vehicle traffic , a detailed lighting plan should be required
for review and approval prior to the issuance of a building
permit . Such a plan should include details of the type of
lighting, number of lights , locations, light standard heights ,
and directions of illumination.
FACILITIES/SERVICES :
Water Supply:
The applicant ' s proposal to install a project-only well is
inconsistent with public agency recommendations that the site
connect to the City of Stockton water supply system. The
County recently received an application referral for a City
subdivision located on the south side of Hammer Lane just west
of its intersection with the EBMUD line . The map submitted for
that project identifies a City well site at the northeast
corner of that project . The well site is located within
one-quarter of a mile of the Christian Life Center site .
In the event that the project is approved without the require-
ment of connection to the City of Stockton water system, the
County Department of Public Works recommends that the project
be allowed to use a private water system on an interim basis,
provided that the system is designed for future connection to
the City of Stockton system when a connection becomes
available .
Storm Drainage :
The applicant proposes to use a five-acre on-site percolation
pond for storm drainage . A terminal storm drainage system is
not available in the project area at this time . The Department
of Public Works recommendation, in the event of application
approval , is that the on-site drainage pond be allowed on an
interim basis, provided the system is designed for terminal
drainage when a terminal system has been created.
Police and Fire Services :
