 1
JA 2 2 7980
MEMORANDUM SAN JC"',QJ'IN
HtALTH- - LOCAL
DISTRICT
70: Stan Phillippe DATE : 18 January 1980
FROM: Frank 0. McDermott
SUBJECT: TOWER PARK MARINA
On 8 January 1980, I inspected the subject waste treatment facilities.
Clark Wallace, owner-operator, accompanied me.
The facilities consist of dock side pumpout facilities ; collection system
for this large campsite, marina, restaurant, cocktail lounge and store
complex; a lift station; one aerated lined pond, and one overflow pond.
Both ponds contained sewage and were free of any objectionable odors.
This is the off-season for resort customers. However, I have visited
this recreational area on a number of occasions during the June, July,
August high use season and have never detected sewage odors near the
ponds or at the dock side pumpout facilities.
This is a model recreational resort, providing needed facilities while
giving maximum protection to Delta waters . First cabin.
BUNK 0. MCDERMOTT
Area Engineer
f OM/gs
cc : San Joaquin Local Health District
( form letter sent)
