Highway 12
Terminous, California 95240
ANNUAL INSPECTION, DOMESTIC WATER SYSTEM
This letter confirms the first annual inspection of the Little Potato Slough
Mutual Water Company's potable water system serving Tower Park Marina by
Joseph 0. Spano, Sanitary Engineer, on April 11, 1986.
The water system appears to have the equipment needed to adequately treat the
Delta source water used at the facility. However, the following items must be
addressed to assure that the water meets regulatory requirements and to improve
the purveyor's records relevant to the operations and maintenance of the water
system.
1. Bacteriological samples must be taken every other week and the results must
be reported to the Department in compliance with the requirements of the
California Domestic Water Quality and Monitoring Regulations (Title 22,
C.A.C.) . Monthly reports of bacteriological test results must be submitted
using Form EH 131, furnished by the Department.
2. Monthly Filtration Plant Reports prepared on the Department's Form SES-45
must be submitted to the Department within 10 days after the end of each
month. The forms provide for daily records of turbidity, pH, chlorine
residual, chemical usage, and plantput. Although records of some of these
parameters are being kept, the data must be submitted for review on the
standard form prescribed by the Department.
3. Forms and a procedure should be developed for keeping records relevant to
maintenance operations performed on the water treatment, storage, and
distribution facilities.
4. Forms and a procedure should be developed for keeping records relevant to
complaints concerning the water and corrective measures implemented by the
purveyor. These records should be kept available for inspection by De-
partment of Health Services personnel.
5. Copies of current analyses of general mineral, general physical and in-
organic chemical, organic chemical and radiological characteristics of the
source water used at Tower Park Marina should be submitted to the Department
within 30 days.
