In order to con- <br /> tinue the present level of service after this project is completed <br /> it will be necessary Co create a funding mechanism, such as a police <br /> service district, to provide additional police services. <br /> The following measures should be taken to mitigate the impact this <br /> development will have on Sheriff's services: <br /> Tower Park ahuuld contact the County Board of Supervisors and explore <br /> the feasibility of creating a service district to fund additional <br /> patrol deputies t•u meeL Che greater demand for police services thin <br /> project will create. <br /> Ic has been our experience that many people who rent house boats are <br /> unfamiliar with boating and the Delta. Consequently, our Boating Safety <br /> Division has had to investigate numerous Boating accidents involving <br /> rented house boats. Tower Park should provide instuction to all per3ons <br /> who rent vessels. The instruction should include, but not be limited to, <br /> boat handling, water safety, nautical rules of the road and navigation <br /> on the Delta. <br /> The RV park should be supervised at all times with a park host/hostess, <br /> caretaker or security guard. Park rules should be enforced by in-house <br /> security. <br />
