Recreation Vehicle Park Permit on Route 12 . As a result of that
review we wish to offer the following comments :
1 . The propgsed project will cause significant traffic im-
pacts on Route 12 . These impacts are not defined in the
application. In order to determine the scope and magni-
tude of such impacts , a traffic study for the area needs
to be completed.
2. A new bridge is planned for Route 12 at Terminous , adja-
cent to the project site. This bridge is scheduled to be
advertised for bid in 1988. Access to Route 12 needs to
be planned in relation to the right of way for the new
bridge.
3. Additional site development plans should be indicated in
the traffic analysis in order to provide complete infor-
mation. The cumulative impacts of this and any future
project needs to be considered when designing access
for the area.
4. More information is needed to define the points of origin
for users of the development. Determination of the sources
of traffic are needed in order to plan adequate turn lanes
and other mitigation for potential traffic congestion.
5. Caltrans wishes to reserve comment on the project until
the impacts of the project can be more clearly shown.
We appreciate the opportunity to comment on this project and
look forward to receiving additional information as the project
develops. Any questions concerning this review may be directed to
Louise Givens-Reynolds at Caltrans , telephone ( 209 ) 948-3962.
Vertru l
cc:PVerdoorn/SJCCOG DANA COWELL
LGrewal/SJCAPCD Chief, Transportation
Planning Branch
