CENTRAL VAL -Y REGIONAL WATER QUALITY )NTROL BOARD
INSPECTION REPORT
9 May 1985
DISCHARGER : TOWER PARK MARINA AND TOWER PARK VILLAGE
LOCATION & COUNTY : Lodi , San Joaquin County
CONTACT (S): Merwin Rose, Consulting Engineer; Al Olsen,
SJLHD Supervising Sanitarian
INSPECTION DATE : 29 March 1985
INSPECTED BY : Philip S. Isorena
ACCOMPANIED BY : Same as contacts
OBSERVATIONS AND COMMENTS
This inspection was made in conjunction with updating the facility' s waste
discharge requirements (Order No. 73-124) . Present requirements prescribe
the discharge of domestic waste into two aeration/overflow ponds.
The owner is proposing to increase the flow from 0.043 mgd to 0.114 mgd,
dispose 0.054 mgd through two aeration/overflow ponds and treat 0.060 mgd
from 201 mobile home units using two package aeration plants. The effluent
from the aeration plants will be used to surface and flood irrigate an
adjacent 23.37 acres on the owner' s property.
The present system consists of dockside pump out facilities, two lift sta-
tions, one aerated lined pond, and one overflow pond. Both ponds contained
wastewater and were free of odors. Pond 1 has two 3 horsepower aerators;
none was operating during my inspection . Pond 2 has no aerator. The ponds
appeared to be well maintained. Public access is precluded by means of a
wire fence.
Attachment A shows the lab results of ditch and Pond #1 water sample taken
during the inspection .
INSPECTION SUMMARY
The facility appears to be in compliance with the WDRs . Present require-
ments are being revised to reflect the proposed changes.
PHILIP S. ISORENA
PSI:ljl
(form letter sent)
Attachment
cc: i.-Al Olsen, San Joaquin Local Health District, Stockton
JREVicWED BY:
