Here is the current status of ECS Stockton:

1) The owners of the property and former Presidents of ECS Stockton are the party that is responsible for the
cleanup and closure of the facility.
2) All the hazardous waste and universal waste has been removed. There will likely be hazardous waste generated
during cleaning and closure of the facility, but for now all the waste that was generated when the facility was in
operation has been removed.
3) The major processing equipment (i.e shredders) have been cleaned, tested, and put for auction. I believe the
auction was supposed to happen in April, but I don’t know if that happened due to current events.
4) Bids for completing the final cleaning and closure of the building itself have been submitted and I’ve been
contacted by a few contractors.

I am waiting for more information from the Taggart’s (property owners) about timelines for completion, but this seems
to be a moving target.

Best,

Brennan Ko‐Madden
Environmental Scientist
Enforcement and Emergency Response Division
Department of Toxic Substances Control
9211 Oakdale Avenue
Chatsworth, CA 91311
Office: (818) 717‐6660

Protecting Human Health and the Resources of the State of California

From: Henry, Michelle D <mhenry@sjgov.org>
Sent: Tuesday, April 14, 2020 8:39 AM
To: Ko‐Madden, Brennan@DTSC <Brennan.Ko‐Madden@dtsc.ca.gov>
Cc: Peebler, Diana@DTSC <Diana.Peebler@dtsc.ca.gov>; Naidu, Muniappa <Mnaidu@sjgov.org>; Backus, Garrett
<gbackus@sjgov.org>
Subject: 2222 Sinclair ECS

Hi Brennan,

Hope you are staying safe and well.
