I <br />' 12 June 2003 <br /> • AGE-NC Project No 01-0827 <br /> Page 2 of 7 <br />' collected in Tedlar vapor bags on 16 January, 06 February, 24 April and 13 May 2003 The samples <br /> were labeled, placed in pre-chilled coolers and transported under chain-of-custody to McCampbell <br /> Analytical, Inc (MAT), a State of California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified <br /> analytical laboratory The samples were analyzed for <br /> • TotaI petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) in accordance with EPA <br /> Method 8015 Modified and <br /> e Benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes(BTEX)and once for methyl tertiary butyl <br />' ether(MTBE) in accordance with EPA Method 8020, <br /> The results of the laboratory analysis are summarized in Table 2 <br /> 2 2 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION <br /> Monitoring well MW-6 was installed on 03 March and developed on 24 Apnl 2003 Well MW-6 is <br /> a discrete, deep-screened(60 to 65 feet bsg)monitoring well and will not be used to calculate water <br /> table gradient and flow direction <br /> 2 2 1 Drilling and Sampling <br /> Pilot boring MW-6 was advanced to a depth of 65 feet below surface grade(bsg)using a CME-85HT <br /> drill ng equipped with 8 25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers,the dell ng and three-man crew were <br /> supplied by WestHaz Mat Drilling Incorporated Continuous-cored soil samples beginning at 30 feet <br /> bsg were collected utilizing a 5-foot-long continuous core sampler <br /> Upon removal from the core sampler, soil cuttings were screened for the presence of organic vapor <br /> using an organic vapor meter (OVM) equipped with a photo-ionization detector (PID Thermo <br /> Environmental 580B, 10 0 eV, calibrated to isobutylene), the OVM readings were monitored for <br /> health and safety reasons The soil was then visually described in accordance with the Unified Soil <br /> Classification System (see Appendix A) <br /> Auger returns generated by drilling were stored on-site on visqueen plastic, pending laboratory <br /> analysis <br /> 2 2 2 Well Completion <br /> Born MW-6 was completed as deep ground water monitoring well utilizing two-mch diameter <br /> PVC casing with 0 020-inch slotted screen from 60 to 65 feet bsg and two-inch diameter blank PVC <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
