Stanislaus Street
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Mr.Kipf
Environmental Bio-Systems, Inc. (EBS) has reviewed the letter from Ms. Donna Heran
and Mr. Nuel C. Henderson, Jr., from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (EHD) regarding the above mentioned site.
With the appropriate updates to costs, schedules and budgets as needed, EBS will analyze
for the following:
• Bromide and bromate analysis as part of the general minerals testing
According to the laboratory (Kiff Analytical, Inc. of Davis, California), there should be
interference with oxidizers (ozone or hydrogen.peroxide) with the bromate analysis. The
groundwater sample will be kept in a refrigerated environment for 72 hours until after the
oxidant has been spent. According to the laboratory, the EPA allowable hold time on the
bromate sample is 28 days,
• Iron analysis will be a part of the metals testing
i
i
NEGATIVE CONTROL
{
For the ozone and bioremediation bench testing, the work will be performed in the same
laboratory at about the same time. There will be one negative control sample, wherein a
serum bottle will contain representative groundwater with no headspace. The control
sample will be analyzed at the beginning and end of the experiment. The purpose of the
negative control is to verify adsorption and evaporation without biological activity.
Main Office:229 Tewksbury Ave.,Point Richmond,CA 94801 Tel:510-232-2728;Fax:510-232-2823;May 20,2006 1
