In a letter dated April 28, <br /> 2000, the San Joaquin County PHS/EHD requested the submittal-of a work plantoinvestigate the lateral <br /> and vertical extent of contamination at the site. <br /> f 3. FIELD AND ANALYTICAL METHODS <br /> L <br /> 3.1 SITE PREPARATION <br /> Condor will complete a drilling permit application and obtain the required permit from the SanJoaquin <br /> r County PHS/EHD prior to the fieldwork. If necessary, Condor:will complete an encroachment permit <br /> Lapplication and obtain the permit from the City of Stockton Public Works Department. Condor will <br /> schedule and coordinate all field activities through CSUS. The proposed boring locations will be marked <br /> Cwith white paint and Underground Service Alert (USA) will be notified at least 72 hours in advance of <br /> the fieldwork to locate and identify underground utilities in and near the work area. Because companies <br /> contacted by USA may not identify utilities past private property lines and into the site,however, it is the <br /> responsibility of the property owner to identify site utilities-..-- <br /> 3.2 <br /> tilities.3.2 GEOPROBE BORINGS - <br /> ( Prior to commencement of fieldwork, a tailgate safety meeting will beheld and a site-specific Health and <br /> y Safety Plan (Appendix B) will be discussed with, and presented to, all field personnel for their <br /> signatures. Five direct push borings will be installed to a maximum depth of 30 feet below ground <br /> surface (bgs). The proposed direct push boring locations are shown in Figure 2, Appendix A. It is <br /> fassumed that groundwater samples will be collected from the borings if encountered above 30 feet bgs. <br /> is It is possible that the borings will be terminated at refusal before groundwater is encountered.
