Stockton Street
Lori, .
I left you a vmail earlier regarding the Madsen Diary property here.in Ripon. What is the process and schedule (approx.)
once the workplan is submitted? Below is rimy first guess at what that could be, can you please reviselcomment as needed. j
I
Submit workplan—March 5,2010
County review workplan— 14 days from submittal
Field investigation +report—30 days from County approval of workplan
County review investigation results— 14.days from submittal
Any further work and schedule will need to be determined based-on the results of the investigation. In your experience,
what could we expect as a worst case for a remediation?
Thanks,
:Kevin M.Werner, PE
City Engineer
City of Ripon
259 N.Wilma Avenue
Ripon, CA 95366
Office: 209-599-0235
Fax: 209-599-2685
From: Lori Duncan [EH] [mailto:lduncan@sjcehd.com]
Sent:Thursday, January 07, 2010 9:03 AM
To: Kevin M. Werner
Subject: 239 S. Stockton Street
Kevin,
1
Here are a few sample workplans. I tried to find sites somewhat similar to the Madsen Dairy, with simple preliminary site
investigations. I would recommend you consider at least three direct push soil borings to surround the area of the reported
dirty soil sample, and collect grab groundwater samples from each. I checked some reports from Thiemanns, the most
current data we have is from October 2009 and groundwater was at 30 feet below grade. It may be a bit more shallow now,
due to the rains, but the most shallow it has been since 2002 is 26 feet below grade.
I have also included a list of environmental consultarits that do work in this area, but I cannot recommend any one in
.particular. Please call or email if you have any further questions. I will be preparing the directive letter.
Thank you,
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
Idunca_n_a@sjcehd.com
(209)468-0337 phone
(209)468-3433 fax
2/22/2010
