CGFA Servicts inc. • <br /> 922 "J" Street, Suite 207 <br /> Modesto, CA 95354 <br /> VVI <br /> Phone 209-578-1478 <br /> O <br /> VIPV- Fax 209-578-1476 <br /> September 12, 1996 <br /> Mr Bill Hekman <br /> Ripon Milling Company '` <br /> P O Box 180 <br /> Ripon, CA 95366 <br /> RE: SOIL SAMPLE ANALYTICAL RESULTS FOR SOIL STOCKPILE LOCATED <br /> AT 320 SOUTH STOCKTON STREET, RIPON,CALIFORNIA. <br /> Dear Mr Hekman <br /> In accordance with a proposal dated June 21, 1996, CGFA Services Inc (CGFASI) <br /> coordinated the sampling and analysis of the soil stockpile located along the <br /> northern boundary of the above-referenced site (Figure 1) The purpose of the <br /> sampling was to assess the soil stockpile for the presence of petroleum product <br /> constituents <br /> I <br /> The number of soil samples proposed was based on an estimated stockpile volume <br /> of 1,200 cubic yards Based on measured dimensions, the estimated volume of the <br /> sort stockpile was revised to 1,450 cubic yards Therefore, based on a sampling <br /> protocol of one soil sample per 50 cubic yards, a total of 29 soil samples were <br /> randomly collected from the soil stockpile Relative sample locations and depths <br /> are presented in Figure 2 <br /> Twenty nine soil samples (S1 through S29) were submitted to Sherwood Labs in <br /> Hilmar, California (Sherwood Labs is certified by the state of California) Each soil <br /> sample was analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G), <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-D) Soil sample analytical results are summarized in <br /> Table 1 <br /> According to Ms Linda Turkatte of the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services/Environmental Health Division, the detected concentrations of TPH-D, <br /> ethylbenzene and xylenes are not regulated However, this document and a written <br /> record showing the destination of the soil, amount of soil deposited, and use of soil <br /> should be submitted to Ms Turkatte <br /> i <br />
