134 South Sutter Page 3
The laboratory results from the samples collected did not report contamination; however
the lab noted on sample #22927 that late eluting, unresolved hydrocarbons in the range
of Cts to C28 were detected but which could not be quantitated with the method used.
The analytical results and field observations do not support closure of the site without
additional investigation.
PHS/EHD recommends that a work plan be submitted to further investigate the residual
soil contamination documented in the area of the former waste oil/water separator sump
and former UST #4.
The faxed pre-disposal information indicated that the contaminated material was to be
disposed off site. Please submit disposal documentation for the contaminated material
removed from the site.
1f you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mary Meays, Senior RENS,
of my staff at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Mary Meays, Senior REHS Diane .
