(AGE) and has the following comments.
The report documents a routine quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling event
that took place on July 23, 2004. The depth to water was measured in the three on-site
monitoring wells and a groundwater sample for analysis was collected from well MW-1.
The sample was reported to contain 27,000 micrograms per liter (µg/1) total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gasoline and 160 pg/I benzene.
The report recommends additional assessment of the lateral and vertical extent of the
contamination, in both soil and groundwater, near the vicinity of the former dispenser
island area, and to the east of that area. SJC/EHD agrees with this recommendation.
Please proceed with submittal of a work plan to continue the investigation of the lateral
and vertical extent of the contamination at your site. The work plan is due for submittal
no later than January 28, 2005.
If you have any questions or comments please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department ,
i
f
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Nuel C.
