Pao Re: Quarterly Report Mobil SIS #10-NP4 Tracy Blvd. and Grantline Road Tracy, California Dear Mr. Pao: This report presents the results of the most recent episode of monitoring and sampling of the wells at the referenced site by Kaprealian Engineering, Inc. (KEI) . The wells are currently monitored monthly and sampled on a quarterly basis. This report covers the work performed by KEI in October, 1988. The site has been under investigation since mid-1986. FIELD ACTIVITIES The eight existing wells were monitored on October 13, 1988. During monitoring, the wells were checked for depth to water, odor, and visual presence of floating product (Table 1) . After monitoring, the wells were purged and allowed to recover. Water samples were also taken from the wells on October 13 , 1988 . Prior to sampling, the wells were purged using an acrylic surface bailer with at least ten gallons of water removed from each. Samples were then collected using a clean Teflon bailer. Samples were decanted into clean VOA vials which were sealed with Teflon- lined screw caps and stored on ice until delivery to the contracted laboratory. LABORATORY ANALYSES The water samples were analyzed at Sequoia Analytical Laboratory in Redwood City for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH) , benzene, toluene, xylene and ethylbenzene (BTX&E) concentrations using EPA methods 5030, 8015, and 8020 (Table 2) . Copies of the analytical results and chain of custody forms are attached to this report.
