The dissolved phase benzene plume is defined
by monitoring wells AMW-1, AMW-2 , MW-1, and MW-7. MW-7 is
downgradient of the former Mobil and current BP site. A sheen of
product was present in MW-3.
Based on the results of this investigation, we feel the following
is necessary:
1) Prepare a RAP for agency approval for the free-product and
groundwater recovery at the site. This document will be
submitted shortly under separate cover.
2) Initiate a coordinated effort with the other service station
sites at this corner to concurrently monitor and sample the
groundwater monitoring wells. This data will be shared to help
develop a clean-up of the potentially co-mingled plumes. By copy
of this letter to Chevron and Exxon, I request that you provide
any comments regarding this proposed action.
If"you have any questions, please" feel free to contact me at
(818) 953-2519.
Si c8rely,
David M.
