NIII
dewatering activities associated with construction work in
the vicinity of the site (personal communication with
Mr. Harlin Knoll, SJCEHS and Mr. A. Banaal, Public Works
Department, City of Tracy) .
There are a number of existing wells in use vithin the City
of Tracy, four of which are within a 1/2-mile radius of the
site, as shown in Appendix A. These wells are used as
observation, irrigation, and domestic wells. The Bureau of
Reclamation supplies the City of Tracy with approximately
half of its domestic water needs from the San Joaquin River
and the Sacramento River through the Delta Mendota Canal.
The remaining domestic water supply is provided by the City
of Tracy through domestic ground water wells (personal
communication with Mr. Derryl Scott, City of Tracy Public
Utilities Department Laboratory) .
7.0 DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
-- The results of field activities and laboratory analysis
of the soil and ground water samples collected during this
investigation and from previous investigations are discussed
below.
7.1 Soil Analysis
A total of four soil samples were collected from the four
E soil borings for laboratory analysis. Results of the soil
analysis are presented in Table 2 and discussed below.
e Gasoline-range TPH was not detected in any of the
t
soil samples from the four additional borings.
9 BTE% constituents were not detected in the soil
samples from Borings P-2, B-1, and B-2. However, the
soil sample from P-1 had detectable levels of
- benzene, toluene, and xylenes at 8 ppb, 13 ppb, and
19 ppb, respectively.
7.2 r2rg ad kZater Analysis
Analytical results of all water samples collected from the
monitoring wells are discussed below along with the results
o previous investigative work by KEI. Figures 6 and 7 show
the TPH-G and benzene concentrations in the ground water,
respectively, based on the recent sampling results.
J
: : 14
