Box 6569
Modesto, California 95350 Stockton, California 95206
Subject: Lopez Prop rties
1601 Turnpike Road
Stockton, California 95206
Dear Ms. Keir and Ms. Lopez:
The San Joaquin Cou ty Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed Quarterly
Groundwater Monitorin Report — Fourth Quarter 2009, dated February 15, 2010, prepared
and submitted by Advanced GeoEnviron mental, Inc. (AGE) on your behalf for the above-
referenced site. Based on the analytical results from the monitoring and sampling event on
December 7, 2009, AGE has recommended that monitoring well MW-2 be sampled semi-
annually and MW-9 be sampled annually. The EHD concurs with this recommendation.
Beginning the second quarter 2010, the EHD approves the following groundwater sampling
and analysis schedule:
• Collect groundwater samples semi-annually from monitoring wells: MW-1, MW-2,
MW-5, MW-8, MW-10 and MW-11; analyze the samples for total petroleum
hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g); benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and
total xylenes (BI EX); di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME),
and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA).
• Collect groundwater samples annually from monitoring wells MW-3, MW-4, and
MW-9, and anal ze the samples for TPH-g and BTEX.
• Collect groundwater samples biennially from monitoring wells MW-6 and MW-7 and
analyze the samples for TPH-g and BTEX.
By letter dated October 22, 2009, the EHD approved the installation of MW-12. AGE has
informed the EHD that this well has not been installed because the off-site property owner has
not signed the access agreement. The EHD recommends that you move the location for the
proposed well to the City of Stockton right-of-way on the east side of French Camp/Turnpike
Road, adjacent to the originally proposed location, and complete the installation of this well by
May 19, 2010. Submit a copy of the encroachment permit issued by the City of Stockton, a
boring permit application and permit/inspection fee of $434, and notify the EHD of scheduled
fieldwork at least a week prior to installing the well.
