The only reason I
wanted to reduce the list is to save money. Since this is not the case, go ahead and report EDB, MTBE, ETBE,
and TBA.
Before moving MW-2 and MW-9 to annual sampling, make sure the results are non-detect.
Thanks for responding so quickly.
Vicki McCartney,Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton,California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: vmccartnevwsicehd.com
From: Ally Colavita [mailto:acolavita@advgeoenv.com]
Sent: Tuesday, December 08, 2009 4:26 PM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Subject: RE: Lopez Property
Hi Vicki—
The lab charges the same for a full scan 8260 as I does for one 8260 analyte, unfortunately. In
the past I only included the reduced analytes, but I always received the 5-fuel OXYs and EDB
whether we requested or not. In utter frustration I stopped requesting the reduced analytes—
however, yesterday we only requested TPH-g, BTEX, DIPE, TAME & 1,2-DCA. I will reject the
lab if I receive all 5-fuel OXYs and EDB in addition to the other analytes.
I will schedule wells MW-2 & MW-9 annually in 2010.
