(AGE) for the above-referenced site. AGE proposes to install
three monitoring wells to approximately 35 feet below ground surface (bgs) with screen intervals
between 15 and 35 feet bgs to further delineate hydrocarbon-impacted groundwater. Monitoring well
MW-4 will be advanced approximately 58 feet southwest of MW-3; MW-5 will be advanced
approximately 100 feet northeast of MW-3; and MW-6 will be advanced approximately 110 feet
northeast of MW-J.
E.HD approves the proposed wells, noting that the location for MW-5 should be directly down
gradient of the source area and that MW-6 should be located at a distance from the source area that is
co-equal to the distance of the other wells from the source area.
El-ID believes two additional monitoring wells are needed, one located north of th'exilin 'uilding,
approximately 50 feet from the source area, and one deep monitoring well locate at former
underground storage tank (UST) site. The monitoring well north of the building will delineate the
lateral extent of hydrocarbon-impacted groundwater north of the former UST. The deep monitoring
well will delineate the vertical extent of contamination at the source area.
Please submit a revised work plan to EHD by March 1,2006, that addresses EHD's recommendations
for the relocation of MW-5 and MW-6 and two additional monitoring wells.
If you have any questions, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209)468-3456 or by electronic mail
at vmccartney@ojcehd.com.
Donna Heran,REHS,Director
Environmental Health Department
cm&1441el
Victoria L.McCartney, Senior REHS Nuel C.
