Training Objectives of the Environmental Compliance Program <br />Upon completing environmental compliance training, all store employees <br />should be able to: <br />1. Understand the reasons why store employees must follow the <br />Environmental Compliance Program policy and procedures. <br />a. Environmental risks <br />b. Environmental laws <br />2. Demonstrate knowledge of correct personal protective equipment (PPE) <br />and safe handling of damaged, leaking or spilled materials. <br />3. Correctly classify a hazardous waste product using the seven categories, <br />package the product in the appropriate bag, and identify the correct <br />disposal tote. <br />4. Be aware that all damaged products in these categories must be bagged <br />(with absorbent if leaking) PRIOR to being placed in the Damages area. <br />5. Demonstrate knowledge of who to call for questions and information. <br />DOLLAR GENERAL <br />
