Leaking or Spilled Products <br />➢ Bag the leaking material using these steps: <br />• Place an absorbent pad into the re -sealable bag from the <br />supply tote, use the appropriate bag size for product. <br />• Place the product in the re -sealable bag with absorbent <br />pad. <br />• Add the absorbent pads used during the clean up and <br />any other clean up materials to the re -sealable bag with <br />the product if space allows. If not, use a separate re- <br />sealable bag from the supply tote for clean up materials. <br />• Add more pads if there is any free liquid in the bag. <br />• Discard the gloves in the bag with the container. <br />• Seal the bag completely. <br />• Verify the bag is closed and not leaking. Double bag if <br />necessary. <br />• Do not store more than one type of hazardous waste in <br />the same bag. <br />• Write on the bag to identify the materials inside (i.e. <br />Dollar General Drain Cleaner and clean up pads) if clean <br />up materials are bagged separately. <br />➢ Properly store the material: <br />• The material should be placed in the correct tote (i.e. <br />Acid, Alkaline, Flammable, Oxidizer or Toxic) . <br />• Use the quick reference sheets for help if needed. <br />• Place the sealed bag upright in the designated container <br />so it doesn't spill. <br />• Securely close the tote. <br />1 <br />0 <br />DOLLAR GENERAL 23 <br />M <br />
