,SECTION 6 <br /> PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> Based on the hazard analysis for this project; the following personal protective equipment (PPE) will <br /> be required and used. Changes to these specified items of PPE will not be made without the approval <br /> of.the site safety officer. <br /> The minimum required level of personal protection for,field activities is Level D. Level D consists <br /> of: <br /> • safety glasses, <br /> • steel-toed boots, <br /> • long pants and shirt with sleeves, <br /> Based on the activities, Level C protection is not anticipated, however, if necessary Level C will <br /> consist of: <br /> • Tyvek or equivalent coveralls, <br /> • nitrile gloves and liners, <br /> • chemical resistant boots, and <br /> • full-faced respirators with combination organic vapor <br /> high efficiency filter cartridges. <br /> Eye glasses must be ANSI approved (safety.glasses). Contact lenses will not be allowed onsite at any <br /> time during field activities. If at any time throughout the course of this job, there is a potential for <br /> ive equipment will be required. <br /> more exposure to the personnel, the appropriate personal protect <br /> y <br /> All field personnel in the immediate work area must have access to an air-purifying respirator, for <br /> which they have been satisfactorily fit-tested.
