SECTION 7 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING PLAN <br /> The potential hazards identified in the hazard analysis portion of this plan determined the <br /> need for initial and/or on-going monitoring for assessment of exposure to the hazards as <br /> follows. <br /> The direct-reading instrument that will be used to monitor air quality in and around the work <br /> The PID measures the total or anic vapors present in the sampled <br /> PID OV g . <br /> areas is a 11'n• <br /> air. For health and safety purposes, total organic vapors detected will generally be used to <br /> confirm the selection of protective equipment. ;The PID'is calibrated using isobutylene as the <br /> standard. Calibration is validated daily prior 4o initiation of site work. <br /> Air monitoring for background levels of air contamination will be performed prior to and <br /> during drilling activities.
