I <br /> SECTION 11 <br /> EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br /> Prior to the beginning of field activities,-the SSO will identify a designated meeting place <br /> (onsite and offsite), in the event of an evacuation. In the event of an emergency on site, the <br /> SSO will direct the course of action. It may be necessary for the SSO to depend on the other <br /> on-site personnel for assistance. The SSO will call for emergency assistance if needed. As <br /> soon as practical, the SSO will contact the Project-Manager and the Health and Safety <br /> Manager. All staff assigned to this project will be.briefed on the procedures and <br /> responsibilities for implementation. The field staff will be familiar with the emergency <br /> procedures of the facility. In the event of a medical emergency, 911 should be used. <br /> The SSO is trained in first-aid and CPR. A first-aid kit;andfire extinguisher will be readily <br /> available. The emergency telephone numbers to be used to call for assistance are listed <br /> below. A copy of this list will be posted in the support;zone of the work area. The <br /> following emergency telephone numbers will be used to call for assistance: <br /> In the event of personal injury, please contact the Corporate Health and Safety Manager. All <br /> accidents or injured are to be recorded on the Supervisors Injury/Incident-Report <br /> (Attachment A).
