CGRS <br /> SOLUTIONS DELIVERED <br /> SECTION 1.0 <br /> 1.1 INTRODUCTION: <br /> The following report describes the methods and findings of a 10,000 gallon diesel underground <br /> storage tank (UST) removal project at DPIF2 CA Army Court LLC's facility located at 1624 Army <br /> Court in Stockton, CA 94546. A total of one (1) double wall steel UST was removed on <br /> June 17, 2020 under the authority of the San Joaquin Environmental Health Department (CUPA) <br /> and the City of Stockton Fire Department, see UST Site Location Map Appendix A. <br /> SECTION 2.0 <br /> 2.1 TANK EXCAVATION &TRIPLE RINSE CLEANING <br /> During June 17, 2020 the tank was fully exposed, then Adams Services, Inc. cold chiseled an <br /> opening the middle of the tank and tripled rinsed the tanks until there was no sludge or trace of <br /> diesel product. A total of 750 gallons of tank fluid was removed and transported as Non-RCRA <br /> Hazardous Waste to he Project Manager reports to Demenno-Kerdoon located in Compton, CA <br /> (US EPA# CAT080013352) for proper recycling. The tank fluid was transported under EPA <br /> manifest Document number 019436916 JJK, see Appendix B. <br /> SECTION 3.0 <br /> 3.1 TANK REMOVAL <br /> The tank was certified clean by Certified Marine Chemist (Mr. Vincent Pempeit) before removal, <br /> see Hazardous Waste Tank Closure Certification Appendix C. <br /> SECTION 4.0 <br /> 4.1 OBSERVED SOIL TYPES & DEPTH TO GROUND WATER <br /> Native soil types observed in the excavated pit/sidewalls and from sample collection, were <br /> sorted fines to heavy clay. Stockpiled backfill was 3/8 pea gravel. Groundwater is estimated at <br /> no greater than 12-13 feet below grade at this site. <br /> SECTION 5.0 <br /> 5.1 SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> Six soil samples were collected the day of the tank removal directly beneath both ends of the <br /> tank, middle, dispenser, and the stock pile. The tank pit samples were taken via from the <br /> excavator bucket and placed into sterile sample jars. The dispenser sample was taken by hand <br /> at a depth of 2 feet below the dispenser and placed into a sterile sample jar. The stock pile <br /> samples were taken by hand and placed into sterile sample jars. The soil samples were taken to <br /> Pace Analytical Services LLC. Sampling was overseen by the San Joaquin Environmental <br /> Health Department. <br /> 1 <br />
