UNION ICE, COMPANY
r`~` 425 Myth Union Strut, Slocllon, CA
Quarterly Sampling Repo -Jure, 1992
Site Code 2414.34
NARRAi.TIVE
a
"'. On June 23, 1992, WI-IF Environmental Consultants, Inc., in conjunction with F3 A1, I;
- Inc., conducted the field measurement, well pumping and sampling on the monitoring
i
well located at this site.
The groundwater elevation was taken from the well prior.to pumping. It was evacuated
by means of a steam cleaned, stainless steel. bladder-type pump. At least thrE c (:3) well
volumes were pumped-frons the well. During the. three (3) volume pump dovtn of the
well., samples were collected to measure the fielr; p?-I, elce:trical conductivity and
temperature. Once stability was achieved and a ininimurn of three (3) volumes were
removed, the sample was collected. It was then labeled and placed in an ice chest with
blue and crushed ice.
- The sample was logged on a Chain of.Custody form and transported to GeoAnalytical
Laboratories, a. State ceitified laboratory located in Modesto, California. The analysis.
requested for the water sample was EPA -method 602 for purgeable :.-aromatic
hydrocarbons (Benzene,. Toluene, Ethyl Benzene and Total Xylene), EPA method
5030/1,11- r .far total petroleum hydrocarbons-gasoline, and EPA method TF-PH/.T TJFT
for total extractable petroleum hydrocarbons (kerosene, diesel and motor oil). The de-
tection limits used were 0.3 µg/l for Benzene, Toluene and Ethyl Benzene; 0.6 µg/l. for
total Xylene, 0.5 mg/l for gasoline, kerosene and diesel; 5.0 mg/l for motor oil.
