We also present a <br /> Work Plan to destroy one monitoring well (BC-11) that has been irreparably damaged. <br /> GP will authorize destruction of well BC-11 upon your review and approval of this <br /> Work Plan. <br /> Background <br /> During a site visit on November 21, 1994, a Brown and Caldwell field technician <br /> determined that the protective steel casing of well BC-11 had been removed from the <br /> ground and that the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) casing was damaged to 14 inches below <br /> grade. The technician sealed the PVC casing of well BC-11 with a friction plug and <br /> buried it for protection. Wells BC-9 and BC-10 were buried in the spring of 1995 <br /> when the adjacent irrigation canal was dredged and spoils were placed on top of the <br /> wellheads.
