GW was encountered at
about 40-feet bgs and the well was set in place for grouting tomorrow morning. The boring was
advanced (and continuously cored) through the saturated unit until a lower confining clay was found at
43 feet bgs. We went 3' into the clay, decided it was of significant thickness and terminated the boring.
The well was set in place and screened from 28-43 feet, bentonite pellets from 46-43, then sand pack
and transition sea]. We are ready to grout this well (it will be a 24 foot grout) as soon as we hear from
you. I will page you at 730, but if you get this first give me a call on my cell 321-2079. We are ready to
start advancing PDW-1 but the location is moved to the east (closer to Musco) and I'd like your blessing
to proceed since it was moved, and no longer consistent with the permit you issued. Frank is standing
by ready to go.
Thanks,
Dennis
6/17/2008
