• • J <br /> Mr. Ben Hall 2 21 April 2003 <br /> Musco Family Olive Company <br /> in violations of groundwater limitations. Lastly, an overflow pipe designed to allow wastewater from . <br /> the settling pond to spill to a surface water drainage threatened violation of Prohibition A.1. On <br /> 24 March 2003, Mr. Dennis Leikam of Musco Family Olive Company telephoned Ms. Amy Simpson of <br /> this office to report that a permanent cap on the settling pond's overflow pipe had been installed, <br /> eliminating the threatened violation. <br /> Regarding violation No. 1, we understand that an additional aerator for the settling pond and ten <br /> 25-horsepower aerators for the storage reservoir are on order. Regarding violation No. 3, <br /> Mr. Leikam telephoned Ms. Simpson on 14 March 2003 to report the motor oil was removed from the <br /> open containers and consolidated in closed oil drums. <br /> By 10 June 2003, please provide a written report of the measures Musco Family Olive Company will <br /> implement to address the remaining violations and threatened violations and keep them from recurring. <br /> Staff is currently reviewing the case file. A detailed summary of the Discharger's compliance with time <br /> schedules established by the WDRs, Cleanup &Abatement Order R5-2002-0149, and Time Schedule <br /> Order 2002-0014-RO1, will be sent under separate cover. Another Notice of Violation may be issued at <br /> the conclusion of this review. <br /> The Discharger submitted Report of Storm Water By-Pass Criteria, dated 11 February 2003, Solid Waste <br /> Management Plan, dated 28 February 2003,Addendum Letter to the Additional Hydrogeological <br /> Investigation Workplan, dated 26 March 2003, and Salinity Source Reduction Report, dated <br /> 31 March 2003. Staff's response to these submittals will be sent under separate cover. <br /> A copy of the inspection report is enclosed for your review.
