Staff have reviewed all submitted comments and made numerous
changes to the tentative WDRs. The most significant changes involve the flow limitation and effluent
limitations. Due to the number of changes, revised tentative WDRs are being recirculated for public
comment. Also enclosed for your information is the revised draft Cleanup and Abatement (C&A)
Order. The C&A Order provides the Discharger with a time schedule to comply with the effluent
limitations contained in the WDRs. Both the WDRs and the C&A Order are scheduled as a contested
item for the Board's consideration at its 6 September 2002 meeting in Redding. An agenda package will
be mailed to you shortly.
Please provide any comments you may have about the revised tentative WDRs by 28 August 2002.
Due to time constraints, comments received after that time may not be considered by the Regional
Board. If you have any questions, please contact Wendy Wyels at (916) 255-3135 or Tim O'Brien at
(916) 255-3116.
1W
WENDYtWYLS, Chief
Waste Discharge to Land Unit
Lower San Joaquin River Watershed
Enclosures: Revised tentative WDRs, draft C&A Order
cc w/enc: see second page
California Environmental Protection Agency
ea Recycled Paper
The energy challenge facing California is real.
