Work Plan Addendum to Install Compliance Groundwater Monitoring
Wells Musco Family Olive Company Tracy California
Notes:
my=millivolts
ORP=oxidation reduction potential
A minimum of 48 hours following development,groundwater samples will be collected from the newly
installed monitoring well MW-35R using sampling techniques currently used for the Musco facility
groundwater monitoring program in support of WDR Order No. R5-2005-0024(as described in the
associated groundwater monitoring reports). Prior to purging, depth to groundwater will be measured
and recorded at each well and piezometer. During purging,water-quality parameters(pH,conductivity,
ORP,and temperature)will be monitored and recorded. Groundwater samples will be collected in
accordance with the anticipated requirements of the WDR forthe new surface impoundments(Musco
will consult with the RWQCB regarding the chemical analysis required).The groundwater samples will be
labeled, logged on chain-of-custody forms,and placed in an ice-chilled cooler fortransport to the
laboratory for the analysis required by WDR Order No. 115-2005-0024.
Investigation Derived Waste
Investigation derived waste water and soil generated during this investigation will be disposed of on the
ground in the vicinity of the soil boring,as completed during previous monitoring well installations at
the Musco facility. Fractured casing generated during the well decommissioning activities will be
segregated and disposed of at the Musco facility.
Anticipated Proiect Schedule
The anticipated schedule for the project is provided below:
• May 8,2014:Submittal of Work Plan Addendum to RWQCB
• May 15, 2014:Approval of Work Plan Addendum by RWQCB
• May 19, 2014:Initiate drilling activities
• May 30, 2014:Complete well development activities and collection of first water quality sample.
Please note that this schedule is dependent upon regulatory approval,contractor availability and
weather conditions.Any changes to this anticipated schedule will be communicated to the RWQCB as
the project is implemented.
If you have any questions with regard to the procedures described in this work plan, please do not
hesitate to give me a call at(510)326-1473.
Sincerely,
For Terraphase Engineering Inc.
Andrew Romolo,P.G.
